Progressing Through the Course

Do I need to complete lessons in order?

Yes. Lessons and modules unlock one at a time, and you need to complete each lesson before moving on.

How do I move to the next lesson?

To progress, you need to:

  1. Watch the lesson video
  2. Complete the activity that helps you bring the learnings to life
  3. Complete the multiple-choice quiz with 100% correct
  4. Click “Mark Complete” on the lesson

I forgot to click “Mark Complete.” What should I do?

No problem. You can simply go back into the lesson and click “Mark Complete.” The next lesson won’t unlock until this is done.

Video Lessons

How long are the videos?

Most videos are short and focused, usually around 5–7 minutes long.

Can I rewatch the videos?

Yes. You can watch videos as many times as you like, and you can go back to them at any time. As an individual user, you have lifetime access to this course, so you can refresh yourself at any time.

Can I change the speed of the videos?

Yes. You can speed them up, slow them down, pause, or replay them to suit your learning style.

Are subtitles available?

Yes. Subtitles are included on every video to support different learning styles and accessibility needs. You can toggle subtitles on or off using the CC icon in the video player.

Which languages are the videos available in?

The videos are recorded in English, with English subtitles. If you would like subtitles in another language, you can do the course in a Google Chrome browser.

To switch on translated subtitles:

  • Open Chrome Settings: Click the three dots > Settings.
  • Go to Accessibility: Select “Accessibility” in the left menu.
  • Turn on Live Translate: Enable “Live Translate” and choose your target language to translate captions in real-time.

Do I need to watch the video before doing the activity?

Yes. The video introduces the key concepts you’re learning in the lesson and that you’ll need for the activity, so it’s important to watch it first.

Activities & Learning

Where do I find the activity instructions?

Each lesson includes one or two downloadable activity sheets. These activity sheets contain all the instructions you need to complete the lesson learning activity.

What kinds of activities will I be doing?

Activities change from lesson-to-lesson to keep your learning engaging and exciting. You might be:

  • Answering reflection questions
  • Working through real-life scenarios or case studies
  • Taking action outside your home
  • Getting creative and building or creating something new

Do I really need to do all the activities?

Yes. The activities are where the real learning happens. Watching videos and completing quizzes alone won’t give you the full benefit of the program.

Multiple Choice Quizzes (MCQs)

What score do I need on the quiz?

You must get 100% of the answers correct to move on to the next lesson.

I didn’t get 100%. What happens now?

That’s okay. You can retake the quiz as many times as you need.

Do I need to redo the whole quiz if I get one answer wrong?

Yes. If you get any answers wrong, you’ll need to redo the full quiz, but luckily, there are only 3-5 questions, so this won’t take you long.

How many questions are in each quiz?

Most quizzes are short and usually include around 3–5 questions.

Can I complete the quiz with someone else?

No. Each quiz must be completed on your own individual device, so your progress can be tracked correctly, and you can move to the next lesson. This is important to make sure you receive your own certification at the end of the Program.

Notes, Reflection & Learning Journal

Where should I keep all my notes and reflections?

We strongly encourage you to have a dedicated notebook or journal for the Purposeful Leaders Program. This can be handwritten or digital. Keeping everything in one place helps you track your growth and reflect on what you’ve learned over time. Plus, down the track, when you want to revisit your learnings, you’ve got it all together.

Learning Pace

How long will it take me to complete the Purposeful Leaders Program?

There are eight modules in the program, each with four lessons. Each of those lessons includes a 5- 7 minute video and a guided activity. We recommended allocating between 45 to 60 minutes for each lesson

How fast do I need to complete the program?

You can complete the program at any pace you like. It might be days, weeks, or even over a couple of months. Whatever pace works best for your learning style, but we do encourage you to keep momentum with the program, and consistency with your learning.

How do lessons unlock for me?

Lessons unlock as you complete the lesson before them.

Where do I find the activity worksheets?

Each lesson includes downloadable PDF activity sheets next to the lesson outline.

Bonus Activities and “GO Deeper” Section

What is the “Go Deeper” section?

The “Go Deeper” section includes optional bonus resources like articles, videos, and extra activities if you’d like to explore certain topics further.

Do I have to complete the Go Deeper activities?

No. They’re optional, but encouraged if you want to learn more.

I noticed each lesson also has an option for extra activities in it. Do I have to do these?

No. These are optional, but encouraged if you want to learn more.

Course Completion

I’ve completed the course. What happens now?

You’ll receive an email confirming you have completed the Purposeful Leaders Program. You’ll also be able to download your certificate of completion, which you can use for any job or scholarship applications to showcase your commitment to leadership and learning. Please keep this certificate in a safe place!

How long can I access the course material once I’ve completed it?

Once you successfully complete the course, you will still be able to log in whenever you like and revisit the lessons.

General Questions

How will this actually help me outside of school?

The Purposeful Leaders Program is designed to help you build skills you’ll use for the rest of your life, not just in the classroom. You’ll learn how to understand yourself better, communicate clearly, make confident decisions, manage challenges, and take initiative. These skills are useful at school, at work, in relationships, and in any future pathway you choose.

Will this help with part-time jobs, uni applications, or interviews?

Yes. Many of the skills you’ll build in this program are the same ones employers, universities, and scholarship panels look for. This includes confidence, self-awareness, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and goal-setting. You’ll also receive a certificate of completion that you can include in job, university, or scholarship applications to show your commitment to learning and leadership development.

What if I don’t see myself as a “leader” right now?

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to see yourself as a leader to do this program. Leadership isn’t about being the loudest, most confident, or most popular person in the room. It’s about understanding yourself, taking responsibility, and making choices that align with your values. This program meets you where you are and helps you grow from there.

What if I already feel like I know some of this stuff?

You might. And that’s a good thing. This program isn’t just about learning new ideas; it’s about applying them in real life. Even if some concepts feel familiar, the activities, reflections, and real-world scenarios will help you deepen your understanding and practise using these skills in different situations. Most students find they still gain new insights about themselves along the way.

Can I fail the course?

No. You can’t fail the Purposeful Leaders Program. This isn’t about being perfect or getting things “right”. You can retake quizzes as many times as you need, and the focus is on learning, reflection, and growth. As long as you engage with the lessons and complete the requirements, you’ll be able to finish the program successfully.

What if I don’t agree with something in the lesson?

That’s okay too. You’re encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and reflect on what feels right for you. Not every idea will land the same way for every person, and that’s part of learning. The program is designed to support thoughtful discussion and reflection, not to tell you what to think.
