At Future Female Leaders, we often talk about what it means to find your voice, but every now and then, a young woman comes along who doesn’t just find it… she uses it to challenge systems, spark conversations, and inspire change.
Jasmine, one of our 2024 Signature Program graduates, is one of those young women.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Jasmine as the winner of the 2026 Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award (Perth Northern Suburbs region) – a recognition of her courage, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
From the moment Jasmine applied for into the FFL Signature Program, it was clear she was passionate, thoughtful, and determined to make the world a better place. A budding climate warrior and lover of animals, she brought a depth of insight, genuine care, and emotional intelligence that set her apart. But more importantly, she brought conviction – the kind that turns ideas into action.

Since graduating, Jasmine has continued to use her voice with purpose. Through her volunteer work and advocacy, she is already contributing to meaningful change in her community. And as she embarks on her journey into law and justice, there is no doubt she will continue to challenge the systems that shape our world – and reimagine them for the better.
Courage in Action
As part of her award, Jasmine delivered a powerful speech about a woman who inspires her: Amanda Nguyen.
Her words were not just a tribute – they were a call to action.
“We can’t keep living like this.”
This line echoed throughout her speech, grounding her message in a stark and urgent reality: gender-based violence continues to impact women at an alarming rate.
Jasmine spoke of Amanda Nguyen’s journey, of turning personal trauma into global impact. After experiencing sexual assault, Amanda went on to found Rise and successfully advocate in the USA for the Sexual Assault Survivor’s Bill of Rights Act, fundamentally changing protections for survivors in the United States and influencing change on an international scale.
What resonated most deeply in Jasmine’s reflection was not just the scale of Amanda’s achievements, but her mindset behind them.
She spoke about courage not as the absence of fear, but as the decision to act despite it. About leadership not as a title, but as a choice made in moments of vulnerability.
About hope, not as naïve optimism, but as a necessary force for change.
The Next Generation of Leaders
Jasmine represents exactly why Future Female Leaders exists.
She is part of a generation that is not willing to accept the status quo. A generation that questions, challenges, and redefines what leadership looks like. A generation that understands that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room, but about using your voice when it matters most.
Her ability to connect global issues to personal responsibility, to speak with both empathy and conviction, and to stand for something bigger than herself is what makes her leadership so powerful.
And perhaps most importantly, Jasmine reminds us that you don’t need to have all the answers (or even a formal title or qualification yet) to begin creating change.
A Future We Can’t Wait to See
As Jasmine steps into her future, pursuing her studies in law and justice, we have no doubt she will continue to embody the very qualities she so powerfully spoke about: courage, persistence, and humility.
She is not just a leader of tomorrow. She is leading now.
